a new line of brother sewing machines in japan can automatically create comic embroidery featuring characters from the peanuts, disney or hello kitty.
the brother innovis comes preloaded with some designs and symbols, more designs can be downloaded from the internet onto a data card that plugs in the brother sewing machine.
brother starts to sell the innovis P100, K100 and SN100 sewing machine in february for 126,000 yen ($1,070).

for just under 50,000 yen ($570) a month, the PeopleStaff employment agency will dispatch hello kitty robo, a robotic receptionist who can detect visitors with sensors, they say "Welcome!", capture the image/voice of the visitors using cameras/microphones, and send the data to a personal computer.

danielle decided to give her most precious possession in hopes that another little girl in new orleans might be comforted.
danielle's mother explained the hurricane disaster to her and showed her photos on their computer. "the next day after she started thinking about it, she started saying, 'maybe I can share my clothes with them because some of them don't have clothes because their clothes got washed away.' and so we went through her clothes and filled up three boxes. she would have given more, but I wouldn't allow her to give her school uniforms and shoes away."
danielle didn't stop there. she donated toothbrushes and canned food in drives at her school. finally one night, she walked out of her room and said, 'mom, they have food and they have clothes, but they don't have any toys.' her mother told her, 'well, they're not really looking for toys right now. they more need clothes.' but danielle said, 'i want them to have toys.' and she had tears in her eyes. 'I want them to have toys.' her mother's reaction was, 'ok, well, let's just wait a few days and see if she still wants to do this.' so a couple of days later, she said it again, 'i want to give my hello kitty away.'"

hello kitty airplane to make debut for 2006 chinese lunar new year
the airplane has been assigned to fly between taipei and beijing during the 2006 new year period to bring taiwanese businesspeople operating in china back home for the holidays.
the airbus a330-220 passenger jet was painted with the hello kitty design at the end of october. the boarding passes and luggage tags used for passengers flying on the plane have been decorated with the color pink in line with the hello kitty theme.
